Blanton's Original Single Barrel Bourbon
Distillery: Blanton's
93 proof
Blanton's Original Single Barrel Bourbon is renowned for its rich history and unique production process. It was the first commercially available single barrel bourbon, introduced in 1984 by Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton. Each bottle is hand-filled, hand-labeled, and topped with a distinctive horse and jockey stopper, which varies in pose. The bourbon is aged in a single barrel, ensuring a unique flavor profile for each bottle. It offers a complex taste with notes of sweetness, spice, and a smooth finish, reflecting the meticulous care taken in its production.

Solid above-average daily sipper with nice balance and presentation. Worth it at MSRP or ~$70-80; skip the $120+ secondary hype—it's no Stagg Jr.
Nose: honey, vanilla, caramel, orange/citrus, bubble gum, baking spices. Palate: caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, light spice, sometimes thin. Finish: oak, vanilla, pepper, leather. Balanced easy sipper but often subdued at 93 proof.
