Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bourbon
Distillery: Buffalo Trace Distillery
100 proof
Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch is a bottled-in-bond straight Kentucky bourbon whiskey produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Named after Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., a pioneering figure in American bourbon history who championed the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, this expression is crafted using the distillery's mash bill #2. It is aged at least four years in charred American oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof without chill filtration. The whiskey is known for its balance of sweetness and spice, reflecting traditional bourbon-making methods with a focus on quality and heritage.

Reviews
Solid daily sipper and intro bourbon at MSRP. Worth it under $60-70; allocated madness and $100+ secondary makes it a skip for most millennials.
Nose: caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, apple, cherry, oak. Palate: sweet caramel corn, dark fruit, brown sugar, baking spice, oak. Finish: leather, tobacco, pepper, drying oak. Balanced, approachable, quintessential bourbon.
