Rusty Nail recipe

The Rusty Nail has two ingredients: Scotch and Drambuie. The honey and herb liqueur softens the Scotch.
  • Spirit: Scotch
  • Glass: Rocks glass
  • Garnish: Lemon twist
  • Makes: 1 drink

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Scotch
  • 0.75 oz Drambuie
  • 1 Lemon twist, for garnish

Method

  1. Fill a rocks glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the Scotch and the Drambuie.
  3. Stir for 15 seconds.
  4. Express a lemon twist over the glass and drop it in.

Tips

  • Use less Drambuie if you want a drier drink. Use more for a sweeter one.

A blended Scotch is the usual choice. A single malt works too, but the liqueur hides its detail.
